I AM listen ing graffiti piece

Day six... running out of my cheap paint and am really wishing I had a choice of colors... I am excited to try new ideas.

we will have to see where this ends up...

I think I am going to leave it there for now.

"LISTEN."
A command given firmly, in love.
I look within and my attitude shifts...

"I AM listening."
A promise given... so steady, so true.
My heart leaps at this face of love.
and I respond, "I am listening too."

My soul soaks in the shared communion,
the giving and receiving.
When I pause and look within
I am no longer where I once was.

I breathe deep and smile.

  1. Hey Tam
I love to see you doing this. One of my favorite parts of facilitating people meeting with Jesus is when they describe how Jesus is meeting with them. It always seems to come with a surprise at how intimately He knows them and chooses images that only they could totally relate to. There is something beautiful when they realize it is beyond what their own imagination would have thought up. I get to listen in as they describe what they are seeing and where Jesus is and what he is doing to touch their inmost being with His love. One of my favorite stories came from Jon (Name has been changed) a person who was very much in control of his life because of fear. Jon also controlled people around him in order to keep him self safe.
At first all he could see between himself and Jesus was a solid wall. Jesus was on the other side. I watched over time as Jesus gently, lovingly revealed himself to him removing the lies and the wall between them. Once Jesus was with him, the wall became a giant canvas. He knew exactly what it was. A BIG GIANT EMPTY CANVAS. But he was disturbed because the canvas was his life and it was empty. When he explored with Jesus why it was empty he showed Jon that he had all the paints and supplies and would not let Jesus have them. Gradually Jesus built Jon's trust in Him and he began to give over the paints. Jesus began to paint on the canvas. When we would get together we would check in on the canvas and Jon would tell me what Jesus had painted that week and what he was revealing, healing, setting free in him through his pictures of truth that Jon could totally. I don't remember all of the details but I seem to remember that at one point Jesus also invited Jon to paint with Him.
    Love ya.
    Don

  3. Do you remember asking for a Giant canvas in your journal Nov. 25.12?

    1. Oh yes!! The giant canvas has been significant for a long while but only now is it coming out in such a wild tangible form. Thank you so much for sharing this it inspires me... as I was reading it I caught the excitement of what Jesus would paint in front of me! Brilliant. And you state it well... there is nothing remote about a relationship with Jesus. Jesus I just have to say You are amazing and mind blowing!
